Meet Our Lead Pastors

The Lord has led Pastor John to launch Ignite Church in Rockland County on November of 2021. With the advice of the Elders at Harvest Fields Community Church (Bronx, NY), God moved on his heart to go after the calling of God for church planting. Pastor John has a passion to preach, teach and disciple believers in the areas of the prophetic, healing and deliverance.
Pastor John helped plant Bridge Church (now Generations Church Mount Vernon) with Pastor Bejoy Samuel in 2007. He was ordained as a pastor by Bishop Reford Mott at Bridge Church in 2016. The Lord led Simmy and Pastor John to Harvest Fields Community Church in 2018. At HFCC he served as an Associate Pastor under the leadership of Pastor Mitchell Torres.
In 2013 Pastor John graduated from Alliance Theological Seminary (Nyack College) with a Masters in Church Development. He is currently enrolled in the Masters of Divinity Program at Global Awakening Theological Seminary. Pastor John is also a Physician Assistant who has been practicing medicine since 2003. He is married to Simmy and have four children (Jayse, Aliza, Erika, Jonathan) AKA The SamFam!
Simmy’s Story
Simmy served as a leader at Harvest Fields Community Church and Bridge Church. Her heart is to see God’s children healed in spirit, soul and body through the teaching of Scripture, discipleship and equipping the body of Christ to reach their fullness. She is also passionate about seeing the body of Christ come to unity as in the days of Acts.
Simmy’s passion for teaching is not only in the church context but also pours out into her classroom where she has been a teacher with the NYC Department of Education for the last 18 years. Simmy graduated with a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Long Island University, Orangeburg NY in 2004 and a Master’s degree in Professional Studies with a concentration in Christian Counseling from Alliance Theological Seminary, Nyack NY in 2016.
Together, John and Simmy Samuel are parents of Jayse, Aliza, Erika and Jonathan. As a family, they love ministering as the “one” unit God has put them together to be!
